He has published nine books on golf, including several histories of the PGA Tour and instructionals written with Billy Casper, Ken Venturi, Phil Rodgers, Carl Lohren, and George Low. He is the former editor-in-chief of Golf Illustrated magazine. He lives in Montclair, New Jersey.
