Why We Love It

Affirmations for Black Women: A Journal is an essential resource for Black women as it works to turn any negative stereotype or pre-conceived notion on its head in a world that so often overlooks and devalues them. Oludara Adeeyo explains how Black women need to use affirmations in order to heal from negative societal messaging that may have been internalized since childhood. Her affirmations explore every facet of life, from uplifting statements for practical, professional, and social use, to powerful mantras for emotional, physical, and mental well-being. And while affirmations are plenty useful on their own, readers will really hone in on how these affirmations relate to them personally with unique journal prompts to apply them to their unique lives and situations.”
