About The Authors

Haewon Baek lives in Colorado with her family. Originally from Seoul, Korea, she enjoys returning to Jeju Island each summer with her children to visit her sister and share cultural experiences with them. Haewon holds an MA in counseling from John F. Kennedy University and uses her background to support clients with multicultural challenges. In her local community, she volunteers at her children’s Korean school and hosts events for Lunar New Year and Chuseok to celebrate Korean culture. She is excited to be creating the second edition of Dirty Korean with her sister.

Jinny Baek is a passionate linguist and cultural enthusiast with a deep love for the Korean language. Having studied English literature in the United States, Jinny Baek moved back to Koera and has spent years immersing herself in the intricacies of Korean culture. As the author of Dirty Korean, Jinny Baek brings together her expertise in language and culture to offer readers an entertaining and insightful journey into the world of Korean slang.
