An award-winning journalist and author, Michele Weldon is an assistant professor emerita of journalism at the Medill School of Northwestern University. She is the director of Medill Public Thought Leaders, as well as Northwestern Public Voices Fellowship for the OpEd Project and codirector of TEDX NorthwesternU 2104. Her nonfiction books include I Closed My Eyes, Writing to Save Your Life, and Everyman News: The Changing American Front Page; she has also contributed chapters to several other books.
