Simon & Schuster UK Environmental Policy
Our Mission
Simon & Schuster UK Ltd recognises our environmental and ethical responsibilities and we are committed to safeguarding a healthy and sustainable environment for future generations, as well as ensuring human rights violations do not exist within our supply chains.
We also recognise the importance of these issues for our authors and customers and our approach is influenced by their high expectations.
Our mission is to consistently conduct our business in a socially, ethically and environmentally responsible manner.
In Progress
Simon & Shuster UK is working with Carnstone, a management consultancy specializing in ESG and sustainability, to develop a carbon reduction target across our direct operations (Scopes 1 and 2) and those of our extended supply chain (Scope 3).
We are aiming to share these science-based targets publicly in the near future. We have already captured our Scopes 1 & 2 for 2021 and 2022 and submitted the results as part of our SECR obligations.
As part of this work, we are currently assessing the emissions related to our extended supply chain (Scope 3).
